Ice Skating
The Elk Grove Park District makes its own ice skating rinks for usage during the winter months utilizing a method that maximizes skating availability. The three selected park sites have a rink liner set up, and are consequently filled with water. As temperatures drop to below freezing, for a sufficient duration, the formed rinks freeze and become available for skating. It is possible, however, that rinks may appear ready before they actually are and, if used prematurely, could damage the skating surface for everyone. It is for this reason we ask residents to call the Ice Line at (847) 690-1179 and check for availability. The lights at night are set on timers and operate during skating hours only. All ice skating areas are available during the season for open skate, with no attendant on duty.

Likewise, Rolling Meadows residents may use the Pavilion Aquatics Center at a resident rate.
