A total of five revolutionary war veterans are buried in various cemeteries in the Chicago area. Two of these veterans are buried in the Elk Grove Cemetery. One was Aaron Miner who was one of the first pioneers to settle in the Elk Grove area. Born on March 22, 1757 and died on March 29th, 1848, Aaron Miner served in the Connecticut Militia during the Revolutionary War. |
