Pavilion Dance Centre
About the Pavilion Dance Centre
The Pavilion Dance Centre Dance Program is a program of the Elk Grove Park District. It is housed at the Jack A. Claes Pavilion with four beautiful, professionally equipped studios. The PDC offers many styles of dance for ages 6 months to adult! For Recital classes, the first half of the dance year focuses on teaching and building our students' technical skills. The second half of the year, after Winter Break, continues to focus on technique as well as learning a recital dance, performance, and presentation. In addition to being skilled, professional dancers, our instructors are highly trained in safety and emergency procedures.
The Dance Program is designed to introduce students to ballet, tap, jazz and hip hop, at lower levels; then progresses into individual discipline classes. Each discipline is unique and offers advantages to a dancer's training. Core disciplines such as ballet, modern, and jazz are strongly recommended in order to keep students advancing levels every two to three years. At the Pavilion Dance Centre, we strive to make sure that all of classes are educational, professional, and fun! The Pavilion Dance Centre's Dance Program teaches students the disciplines of being a dancer from proper posture, technique, and dress, to a variety of styles, artistry and performance qualities.
